Music Composer Mattie J from Long Island, NY, has much experience from creating music and sounds for personal projects to collaborations, and writing content for upcoming Music Artist and Film Production crews. She has an ability to put together Music that tugs on her listeners imagination, making them feel like they are a part of her story or relive their most impressionable moments. Her writing skills are amazing. She enjoys the process where she takes a story line & composes music that relates to the emotion of it. When writing she is skilled at taking a subject and grasping the attention of her audience with original content. Although she has a focus on Music, she is gifted in every area of production & humble enough to help in whatever areas are needed. In her own words, "Character and dependability is more important than talent. You could be a skilled musician, but if you don't keep your word, it'll do more damage in the long run."

In her Younger years, her family moved to Baltimore, MD, after their house in Long Island caught on fire. They faced many struggles including homelessness. However, they kept the faith & attended church where they had a community that helped each other & Prayed together. Mattie J, was inspired by the keyboardist at the church in Maryland & given a few opportunities to play because she was able to hear, see, and duplicate what was being played at the age of 9. Her family later moved to NC and there she was inspired all the more by the Music community. One instrument to another, without lessons, she was able to figure out how each was played and found a love for putting the sounds together.

Today she is a Local Musician/Producer followed by the band "Myrrh Gold" consisting some of the most skilled and trustworthy musicians on the east coast. She considers herself blessed and unworthy of their attribution. Now, Mattie J has music produced & engineered on many platforms. She has composed music for a few short films & is collaborating for her next projects. Her work has proven to be one of a kind & even with her little ones, she is diligent & consistent without neglect of motherhood.
